Production Diary- Week 3

This week i finished my work on the special sounds track, this includes all the other unique sounds that are not gunshots, dialogue, footsteps, impact, movement or part of the wild track. The special sounds were placed in the part of the clip where the character Neo performs the bullet time bend, and supernatural action inside the clip. I also started on the footstep track, finding all the sounds to match all the characters footsteps.

The special sounds were difficult to do, as i was trying to finds sounds to go with supernatural action that are not performed in real life. Therefore i had to go through many sounds to make it seem like its coming from the movements occurring on screen. I used a mixture of different sounds including, race car, vacuum, alien impact and laser beans. When the special sounds started to sounds professional and match the clip, i started adding effects such as changing the pitch and  changing the volume and pan, to make the sounds match the direction of the objects or camera movements of screen. The footsteps sounds were difficult to match the footsteps actions on screen, therefore i started using the blade tool to cut the tracks and match every step to a sound and when i finished the footstep track the sounds successfully matched the actions on screen.
